The University of Montana Bee Alert! Team conducts basic and applied research in collaboration with investigators from state and federal agencies and laboratories, universities, and commercial businesses. We specialize in breakthrough science and technology, utilizing multidisciplinary teams from around the world. Although much of our work revolves around the use of honey bees as sentinel animals, we also engage in a variety of environmental, ecological, and human health studies. In addition, we are working to provide new technologies to the beekeeping industry that will reduce labor and management costs and increase yields.
